Part of the fun in living in a small town is finding those local businesses that offer a great selection of items for your home with a personal touch. Stores where the owner works behind the register most days. Stores where the staff recognizes you and your taste, pointing out new arrivals since your last visit. Let me introduce you to three of those places I’ve found here in Siloam Springs, Arkansas.
This is almost always the first store I bring my friends to when they visit Siloam Springs for the first time. Located right off of Hwy 412, this adorable vintage store has everything from antiques to recycled and upcycled furniture and home decor. The owners of the store are excellent at staging items and giving shoppers a real sense of how items would look in their own home. Looking for a refurbished dresser updated with Chalk Paint? It’s here. Handmade table runners and placemats? Also here. Antique lace and doilies? Yep, they’re here also. And, if you are looking for a 6-foot metal rooster as that final piece to finish off decorating a room, don’t worry, he’s here too.
Heart of the Home is a downtown Siloam Springs retailer that offers a nicely curated selection of decor items for the home as well as some fun items for your closet. This shop has been open just over a year but has already become a must-see when looking for custom items with personality. Shoppers looking to add a bit of Arkansas or even Oklahoma love into their home should definitely stop in and take a look around. The store also offers a great selection of holiday decor. Items to check out are the cotton bud wreaths and garland, scented candles, and embroidered pillows. I mean, how can you say no to a piggy in glasses? The store owner does a great job of refreshing and continually bringing in new merchandise, so be sure to stop by often!

Honeysuckle, another downtown Siloam Springs storefront, offers a wonderful variety of antique and refurbished vintage items. The owners started with a refurbishing business before opening the storefront, and their creativity shows! Old yearbooks cut into alphabet letters, hymnal pages framed and etched with sayings, solidly built furniture, and antique hair combs can all be found in this fun store. If you are on the hunt for vintage items that aren’t too fussy, this is a great place to stop. The small size of the store allows for a constant cycle of new items, so this is another place that definitely requires more than one visit. Honeysuckle also sells items ready for your next project like frames, antique windows, and old doors. It’s a Pinterest dream in here!
