Meet the NWAMB Contributors!
Group text messages, cherry coke, and traveling with my husband are 3 of my favorite things. I’m Adrienne, wife of Jonathan, (aka my “Jdubbs”) who I met when we were 14 at piano lessons, and momma to my baby twins Henry & Amelia. Outside of those two roles, I’m an attorney, Bentonville native trying to find her identity as a Rogers homeowner and connoisseur of fine white queso. You’ll find underneath my confident, calm exterior is a little girl who delights in getting incredibly excited with the least amount of provocation… Thanks for joining me on this NWAMB journey; I can’t wait to be friends!
Allyson is a Kansas native, but has made her way to Arkansas via her husband Matt’s job – life as a vendor’s wife! She is a “working stay at home mom” of three – Sloane (6), Reece (4) and Tess (8 months). Besides all of the chauffeuring, commotion and cooking that comes with staying home with your kids, she co-owns an online clothing store with her sister (shoptwodots.com)! Allyson is a diehard Kansas State Wildcat fan in the middle of Razorback country but continues to send her Kindergartener to school in purple on ‘wear red days’! In the few moments of free time that she has, Allyson enjoys sitting down and watching a good episode of Real Housewives of New Jersey, while begging her husband to watch at least five minutes with her. Because life doesn’t get much crazier than that show!
Hello readers! I’m Allison, a wife, mommy, and educator just trying to be a little better today than I was yesterday. I grew up in Rogers and can’t imagine living outside of Northwest Arkansas. I’ve been married to Mike, my high school sweetheart, for fourteen years. We experienced deep loss and great joy as we built our family, and are so thankful to have three precious, energetic little boys. Josey (8), Gavin (4), and Parker (1) keep the house full of (loud!) noises and non-stop laughter. When I’m not in the classroom you’ll find me watching my boys play sports, attempting to make a craft project I saw on Pinterest, or out and about listening to my husband’s local band play a show.
I am a working mom turned SAHM after the birth of my 3rd girl in less than 4 years (hello daycare expenses!). I am excited and terrified to add a FOURTH kiddo (A BOY!) in January 2017. Our household will surely be busy when he comes home to a 6, 5, and 2 year old running around!
I call Chicago home, even though I grew up in a constantly moving military family. NWA is starting to feel more like home–such a wonderful place to have littles, explore the outdoors, and live life without feeling like you need to break the bank.
When I’m not doing ALL the things mommy related, I like to sit quietly and stare at the wall, (JK), but I do end up doing it for about 10 minutes before I remember ALL the things I love that I should be doing, like running, yoga, climbing, organizing something, drinking coffee, and being in the sunshine.
Hi All! I’m Elizabeth, a Fayettevillan with a background in political consulting, community organizing and nonprofit communications. I serve as the development director for a local youth nonprofit and also on multiple boards for different causes. My husband, Cole, and I went through multiple miscarriages before finally welcoming a beautiful baby boy to the world in May 2016. @monstermick (find him on Insta!) loves being out & about with his parents and playing with his dog-brother, #pippinprenger.
Jessica lives in NWA with her Spanish teacher hubby, two sons (Sept. 2014 & Nov. 2016), and crazy cat Mambo. She has taught music in the area since 2004 and is currently the director of Jubilee Music, a Music Together® center offering early childhood music and movement classes in Bentonville. Originally from West Texas, Jessica came to NWA to see what rain, trees, and hills looked like and fell in love with the region. In between chasing tiny humans, she and her husband like to travel the world, make music together, and enjoy a fine cup of coffee.
Hi! I’m Jenna, lifelong Bentonville native and wife to my junior high sweet heart, Bryan. I’m a Mom to two boys, Hudson and Rhett, ages 6 and 3, with a third baby boy, Sawyer, on the way in early 2017! I’m a nurse by trade, but hung up my stereoscope two years ago to stay home full time and I am currently working as an online fitness coach and life style blogger. I love running, warm chocolate chip cookies (hence the running) and about every form of coffee. I’m very passionate about NWA and so excited about sharing on NWAMB. I can’t wait to “meet” y’all!

Lisa is a Northwest Arkansas transplant, having moved here for her undergraduate degree over 10 years ago. After attending graduate school for Agricultural Economics, she married her husband, Brett, and ended up in a private brand Product Development Position with the world’s largest retailer. Once their daughter Epley was born (March 2015), Lisa needed a more relaxed pace. Now working from home for a major textiles company, Lisa is chasing around a toddler and a Chocolate Labrador named Chief (October 2014) while carving out time to explore her passion of writing and blogging. An avid Razorback fan, Lisa loves cooking, playing golf, enjoying a glass of red wine, having dance parties with Epley, snuggling with Chief, and watching a backed-up DVR with her husband.
Jenny grew up in Lenexa, KS and graduated from Kansas State University with a degree in marketing. This is where she met the love of her life and together they have two fun-loving and spunky daughters, Jules (3) and Jess (2). Her kids have brought them so much joy, and also what she likes to call “mommy chaos”. Her girls keep her life busy but her real estate career keeps her busier working the real estate market by listing and selling homes within Northwest Arkansas. In her downtime she loves a piping hot cup of coffee, Netflix marathons, boating/wakeboarding Beaver Lake, and a good laugh with friends. You can catch up on real estate with Jenny at her blog or on her website at www.NWARHomes.com.
Hi I’m Myka! I married my other half, Lee in 2009 and we adopted our four legged baby, Spike shortly after. I have been the co-owner of a local bridal/formal wear shop, She Said Yes Bridal since 2014, and my most recent title is “mommy” to Roman Asher as of September 1, 2016! I believe popcorn and coffee should be its own food group. I love fashion, good food (because who likes bad food), and traveling! I am surrounded by amazing super moms and I feel like I am just a normal girl who has an adorable baby. Having a small human is such a beautiful adventure with lots of twists and turns…you know like taking the scenic route on a road trip…without GPS…let the journey begin!
Hola Northwest Arkansas! I’m Victoria, a full-time working mom, raising our loveable but stubborn 2 year old son in a bilingual household. Born in Hot Springs, I grew up in Kansas City and thanks to my sexy Latin husband (that I met online!), ended up back in Arkansas after swearing I would never come back. Funny how that works, huh? You can find me on social media at @whatviclikes, and follow along on my current obsessions of listening to podcasts, finding new ways to multitask, promoting local events and businesses, and eating pupusas!
Hiya, gals! I’m Whitney, Fayetteville born and bred! I’m married to my superhero husband, Michael and we raise our two kiddos, Lorelei (4) and Nicholas (2). I’m a stay home mom made up of mostly coffee and serenity tea, along with Gilmore Girls and Disney. Things I love to do: read, write (duh!), run, and shop. Things I loathe: anything that requires make-up, because honestly, who has time? Want to follow along on our adventures? @whitydarling on Instagram and Twitter.
Hi there! I’m Ashley, married to my one of a kind husband, John, mama to my wild toddler named Rhett, and another baby boy due in December. The more outnumbered I get, the more domestic I try to become! I love cooking, and am currently trying to teach myself to sew. I work from home part-time in the non-profit field, am very involved in the women’s ministry at church, love volunteering, and have a passion for connecting moms from all walks of life to one another. Being born and raised in NWA, I have a great love and appreciation for our little community and have enjoyed watching it grow and change over the years. On a typical weekend you’ll find me spending time outdoors with my little family, calling the hogs, or out to dinner with friends at one of our fave local spots. I’m excited to be a part of what NWAMB will have to offer the moms of NWA!
Hello NWA! I am Audra. I’m a wife, mom, teacher, and not always in that order. I moved in July from Ohio, where a friend said “You must really like your husband to quit your job and follow him to Arkansas.” I am grateful for both a wonderful husband and a fabulous new community! We have two daughters, ages 8 and 5, and while I am enjoying more time with my family, I am missing the career that I loved. In my free time I enjoy biking with my family, travel, reading and food (probably food most of all!) I am so excited to explore all the beautiful NW Arkansas has to offer.
Kathleen is the mom to four little boys, including identical twins. She moved to North West Arkansas from Hong Kong about two years ago. In addition to her kids, Kathleen enjoys writing about travel, food, and her expat experiences abroad. Kathleen considers her parenting style to be free range and she likes to tell it like it is.
I’m Lauren – but I’m known by many names [Lo, Schiller, Wiz, Mama.] Because at the end of the day, If we’re honest with ourselves, we’re more than just one woman, aren’t we? Sarcasm is my second language and I have a weird obsession with anything grapefruit flavored. I’ve lived in Bentonville most of my life, but escaped briefly to the NYC area for school where I met my husband Kyle. We had some great East Coast adventures but grad school and family led us back to Northwest Arkansas. Seven years later, I have a corporate gig that I love and am mommy to an amazing one year old boy named Seton who keeps us laughing all.the.time. Each day has its own unique set of challenges, but we always find time to laugh. And snuggle. Snuggling is important.
